Ski 2014

Hello!  It's Melissa here, can you believe its the last day of 2016?! In fact while you're reading this, I'll already be in 2017 here in New Zealand.  Today I'm sharing a layout with a photo I've had sitting around for a couple of years because I struggled with how to scrap it.  The photo is of Azaria when she first started skiing, and it was taken by the ski field photographer.  The weather wasn't great and because we were given the actual photographs I couldn't edit it.  I love it though because it captures her intense concentration!

I used The Wintry Mix cut file set, and when I saw the mountain scene I knew it would be perfect for this photo.  I used my November Hip Kit which is full of Crate Paper's "Snow & Cocoa" collection.

I wanted to do something special with the insides of the mountains, so I filled them in with washi tape strips, sequins and puffy stickers of snowflakes.

I layered two phrases over the trees, and added the cute bird.

I struggled with my title, but settled on something short and to the point.

And here is the cut file set, I can't wait to use them all!  You can purchase it here.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful last day of 2016!

Tinsel Town Sparkle

Hey friends! Hope you all had a great Christmas!  Kelly here again to share another Christmas themed layout using The Tree Farm Cut File and The 'Tis the Season Cut File from The Cut Shoppe.

In Cricut Design Space I used the contour feature to make one of the Christmas trees from The Tree Farm Cut File into a solid image. I then sectioned the 'Tis the Season to Sparkle Cut File image to fit within the tree. I then used the slice feature within Design Space to cut the words from the tree image.

The cut file image is cut on white cardstock and I used multiple mixed media products to add color to the tree. I used a woodgrain paper for my background and a lot of fun paper and embellishments from the Pretty Little Studio-Tinsel Town Collection- designed by Ashley Horton for this festive layout.

I've also put together a process video that includes the Cricut Design Space tutorial on how I combined these cut file images....

....and just in case you missed it I also created a video tutorial showing you how to upload a cut file from The Cut Shoppe into Cricut Design Space.

Thanks so much for joining me today! Remember to head over to The Cut Shoppe to check out all of the amazing cut files and you still have today and tomorrow to take advantage of the sale that is happening now!

I decided to create a layout with the Santa Was Here cut file.  I always snap a photo of the Christmas Tree after Santa has dropped off the gifts.

I'm still playing with my Tinsel Town collection from Pretty Little Studio, and the embellishments are always a favorite.  I placed some of the Pink, Red and Teal sequins from the collection throughout the Santa Was Here cut file to create the look of decorations on the tree.

You can continue to download our Free Cut Files at any time.  If you haven't picked up the other designs from this month, check them out here:

And if you're checking out some of your favorite cut files in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store, don't miss out on our last sale of 2016!

Cute Sweet Sisters- Scrapbook Layout With Irit

Hi! Irit here with a new project I created using some awesome new cut files from the Cut Shoppe. Here's my finished layout-

These are the files I used-

I love love love the Out Of Line Alpha, so I had to use it for my title. Of course I welded all the letters, I'm lazy like that.

All the papers I used for this layout are from Felicity Jane kits. The embellishments are a combination of Felicity Jane, Crate paper and Freckled Fawn.
The Wreathed In Love designs are perfect for a base to a layout's design.

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful new year!

Cherish JOY

Welcome to the Cut Shoppe blog, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and got some fun scrappy goodies, or even better, time to scrap!  Wendy here today with the first page for our 2016 Christmas.
I used the free Joy Wreath cut file today and free Magical Christmas cut file.

I separated the tree from the center of the JOY to add a touch of color to the side of my page and to build a scene.

I replaced the cut O with my picture of my kids waiting to come down the steps.  I added in a few touches of embellishments to dress up the JOY cut.

I was able to tie my tag around my Y to further decorate my JOY word.

The snowflakes from the Magical Christmas cut file, cut from vellum (blade setting 2, thickness 19), added a touch of interest throughout the page, bringing your eyes through the page.

Thank you for joining me today, have fun checking out the Cut Shoppe etsy for some more inspiration to create with!

Merry & Bright

Hello Cut Shoppe friends!  Candace back with you today to share a fun layout using my new favorite cut file, Stained Glass.  Circle files are always my favorite so I knew this one would quickly become another most often used file.  You can check out this newly release file in the shop here.

I knew I wanted to use this file to document a Christmas memory so I used the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa collection to bring in the Christmas theme to the layout.  I love the soft, delicate colors in the collection that don't scream "Traditional Christmas" but are still so beautiful!

To create this page I first had to adjust the file.  I opened the trace window in Silhouette software and traced just one circle.  I then used the eraser to delete the extra lines around the circle.  Next, I enlarged the circle to about 9x9 and cut it out of white card stock.

I backed the file with various pattered paper from the collection.  I wanted the star in the center of the file to stand out so I used the same vellum to fill all the negative space.

To add additional detail without adding too much weight to the page I stitched a large circle on my base page just outside of where the file would sit.

For my final touches I added a few word strips and puffy stickers along with my acrylic title and wood veneer snowflakes.  In the corners of the layout I added a few Heidi Swapp Tinsel ink splatters to match the photo.
Another circle layout, and I am in love!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to tag The Cut Shoppe when you post photos of your creations in Instagram.  We love to see what you create and you just might get featured on our feed!

Have a beautiful day!

A Layout using Geo Globe cut file

Hello. It's Eunyoung back. Today I'll share a cute layout using The Geo Globe cut file.

The Geo Globe cut file is clean & simple. I do love its simplicity. I planed cut the geo globe with a white cardstock and ramdomly matched patterned papers & a photo to the blanks of it.

1. Cut the Geo Globe cutfile with a white cardstock
 2. Match patterned papers to the blank
3. Add patterned paper pieces & a photo using double-side tape
4. Do machine stitching the line of geo glove
5. Add the geo globe using pop-dots on background
6. Arrange a title & embellishments on geo globe
7. Do machine stitching on some ephemera
8. Add a title & embellishments using pop-dots

I hope you'll enjoy it and Thank you for stopping by.
